Dare Art-Alade popularly known as Darey, is an award-winning musician, singer, songwriter and one of the judges of Nigerian Idol Season 5. Darey made his break during the 2004 edition of Project Fame Academy where he came in 3rd place in the competition. Since then he has released two albums, hosted a number of shows both nationally and internationally, performed at the exclusive dinner to commemorate Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary and set up the Art Foundation which helps to keep music education alive for African children in primary and secondary schools. Darey is also a radio/television personality and doubles up as a Master of Ceremonies.

Embracing music genres like Afrobeat, Highlife and Jazz, it’s no surprise that Dede was a protege of the Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. His display of stagecraft, showmanship and knack for audience participation has made him a force to reckon with, both in Nigeria and beyond. Dede has also been a judge of Nigerian Idol since its inception and is one of the judges in season 5.
Yinka Davies is a Nigerian lyricist, vocalist, composer and entertainer. As an afrobeat and jazz vocalist, Yinka has worked with some of Nigeria’s notable artists; Mike Orki, Lagbaja and Sir Shina Peters. Today, she has performed in many shows and concerts both in and outside the country. She was also named the Voice of the Decade at the Nigerian Music Award in 2007. Yinka Davies, returns as one of the judges on Nigerian Idol season 5 and is the only female judge on the panel.
llrymz is a Nigerian television host, radio personality, writer, producer, former model and Hip-hop & RnB artist. He has worked with a number of music and lifestyle channels in Nigeria and has interviewed almost all of the countries top artists, as well as some leading internationals. He made his mark as one of the top urban TV personalities in Nigeria by hosting high profile events and presenting top shows. He has also done a number of radio commercials. Illrymz was born for the entertainment scene and once again he returns as the host of Nigerian Idol.
