

This breakthrough was made under the supervision of Dr. Solomon Nwaigbo. According to the students all the raw materials they used were sourced for and fabricated locally.
The vehicle was presented to the Vice-Chancellor and the Management team on Wednesday, 29th of October, 2014. While viewing the wonder car, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph. E. Ahaneku expressed excitement over the breakthrough.
He congratulated the Faculty of Engineering, the Department, the Supervisor Dr. S. Nwaigbo for producing modern day engineers who will help in transforming the nation. He commended Prof. Sam Omenyi, a former DVC (Academic) for his mentorship and leadership abilities that translated to the younger generation in many ways. Congratulating the students, Austuous Okoyenta, Chukwuebuka Okeke, Chikeluba Ezeani, Kenechukwu Ofoegbu and Igbokwe Ebenezer, Prof. Ahaneku said it was a novel and heartwarming development. He went further to say that the vehicle will be showcased for an exhibition in Abuja on 2nd and 3rd of December, 2014.
The Vice-Chancellor challenged students of other Departments to demonstrate what they have been taught in the University to impact on the society.
